Mökillä maalaushommissa [painting the summer house inside]

Lauantaina alkoi uusi projekti: mökin sisämaalaus. Ensin tyhjennettiin pikkuhuoneen "romuvarasto", sitten maalipestiin seinät ja katto sekä vedettiin kerros NIIN pahan hajuista maalarin valkoiseksi sävytettyä Otex tartuntapohjamaalia. Päänsärkyhän siitä tuli ja piti jättää ovi yöksi auki kun lähdettiin takaisin kaupunkiin.

Sunnuntaina homma jatkui, pohjamaalin päälle laitettiin Tikkurilan puolihimmeä maalarin valkolakka. Kuvassa se on vielä märkä ja siksi niin kiiltävän näköinen. Valoa tuli kyllä rutkasti lisää! Ikkunan puut pitää vielä maalata seuraavalla kerralla.

[We started a new project on Saturday: painting summer house's inside walls and ceiling. The first subproject was the tiny bedroom/storeroom. After moving all the stuff from the room, we washed the walls and ceiling with a special cleaning agent and painted them with Otex Adhesion Primer which already had white colour in it. The primer smelled SO bad and it caused us massive headache... We had to leave the door open when going back to town in the evening.

We continued the work on Sunday and painted the second coat with Tikkurila's semi-matt Painter's White. It looks quite shiny in the photo but the paint is still wet. The room looks so bright now! Window frame still needs to be painted next time.]
